On May 7th, Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez and Camden Mayor Frank Moran joined Cooper’s Ferry Partnership and themed acrobats to celebrate the kick-off of the exciting 2019 Connect the Lots season.

There they revealed the details of the initiative’s landmark event, Camden Night Gardens, as well as the full line-up of programming and special events, including new additions since last year, like First Friday dance parties on the plaza and Third Thursday concerts at the new RCA Pier.
“The Camden County Freeholder Board is proud to join Cooper’s Ferry Partnership to present the Camden Jam as the featured event of the Delaware River Festival,” said Camden County Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez. “The summer season of Connect the Lots promises to bring life to underused places benefitting residents across Camden City and beyond.”

Camden County is partnering with the City of Camden and Connect the Lots for this year’s Delaware River Festival featuring: Arts, Music and the River on Saturday September 7th at Wiggins Waterfront Park. Incorporating the CTL season ending signature event—Camden Jam—the festival will feature family- friendly activities, live music and cultural arts performances including local artists and musicians. The festival features the Camden River Day Eco Discovery Zone, food trucks, merchandise vendors, arts & crafts, a Kids Zone, and a Health Zone.

Connect the Lots, a collaboration between Cooper’s Ferry Partnership and the City of Camden, sponsors a variety of fun – and free – outdoor activities designed to engage residents, entertain visitors and invigorate vacant, underutilized neighborhood spaces, aiding in community transformation.

In 2018, Connect the Lots offered over 100 outdoor community events from May to October that reached more than 10,000 residents and visitors in Camden. From outdoor movies to lunchtime concerts to signature events like Camden Night Gardens and the Camden Peace Games – there will be something for everyone in Camden to enjoy this summer.
