This weekend many Camden High School alumni’s came out to the “Castle On The Hill” to celebrate its history and soon to be closing. Along with food, musical entertainment and plenty of pictures, the event brought out many great people from the community, old and young. We had a chance to speak with one of those people, Rashaan Hornsby owner of Visionary Entertainment and a member of The Village - Camden. Mr. Hornsby spoke about a Youth Entrepreneurship Program for the youth in Camden.
We were able to sit down and pick the brain of Anthony Davis, the founder and owner of Complete Look Barbershop. Located at 118 North 3rd Street.
In our never ending quest of attempting to find people from our community who are committed to giving back positivity and hope, we ran across a fellow named Manuel Hernandez affectionately called “Mannie.”
Mannie has devoted his time and energy to build awareness to the children of Camden and some of the plights they may go through in such a tough city. He has found a unique way to bring generations of Camdenites together with his brand “#camdenkids, which he purposefully states….we all were kids at one time.
On the eve of Mother's Day, United Mothers Stand (U.M.S.), gathered at St. Paul's Church to hold its 2nd annual "Healing Our Hearts Program." With a room filled of families impacted by the loss of a child, there was no shortage of support and inspiration in the room.
