On the eve of Mother's Day, United Mothers Stand (U.M.S.), gathered at St. Paul's Church to hold its 2nd annual "Healing Our Hearts Program." With a room filled of families impacted by the loss of a child, there was no shortage of support and inspiration in the room.
Cheri Burks (the founder of United Mothers Stand) and her fellow U.M.S. members, put together an event that allowed families of those who lost loved ones, to be remembered and supported by others, who experienced the same tragedy. The program contained a variety of inspiration, support, entertainment and memorialization. Hosted by Caress Green (Founder of the Miss Camden Teen Pageant), the event featured prayer (Norman Alston, Elder Richard Jones III, Micah Kahn), praise dance (Tiffany Alston, Nyazjah Spruel), words of strength, encouragment, and inspiration (Tracy Hall, Kahli Williams, Melvin Aziz), and singing (Jasmin Davis, Mahogany Pollard). There were also many more moments of love amongst the attendees.
If you or anyone you know, that may be in need of United Mothers Stands' services of support and love, they can contact members via the Facebook page (United Mothers Stand).
